Our
original short walking break, still the most popular |
|
We walk over gently undulating land. Suffolk is not flat,
but neither is it as testing as Wales or Cumbria! You are
accompanied on the walks each day, so you do not have to worry
about your route, but instead can enjoy the wonderful scenery.
Prices from 2008 are full board with packed lunches on the
walks, or, in the case of some of the Special Interest breaks,
lunch may be taken at home before tuition.
Some of the walks go from the house, allowing us to rest
our cars and their fumes! After the walk, we kick off our
boots and delve into tea and lovely homemade cakes.
Last day . . . . . . . . .This tends to be flexible in distance
of walks, as many people have to travel a long way to get
home. A full walk is always on offer, but sometimes, we may
need to do a slightly shorter walk, to tie in with the rest
of the groups needs. A typical walk on the last day is about
6 - 7 miles.
There is also a full programme of informative, light hearted
or fun Special Interest Breaks. Most on the 2008 calendar
are explained on the 2008 Programme and Pricing Page, but
some are not given dates, as we need to see what numers are
like to book the tutors. Embroidery and Bridge are two such
courses, so ring if you are interested.
Saxmundham station is nearby if you want to come by train,
and I will pick you up from there and drop you off.

Remember too, that some of our advertised walks may have to
be altered due to bad weather, or localized restrictions.
We are increasing our number of walks and areas all the time,
so these may be included as the year moves on.
