Objectives:
To provide the average walker with the skills to be able to understand
the landscape as displayed by a map and to plan, time and navigate
a route with confidence.
This is a two
day course, but we will be happy to extend it by another day or
two (according to availability and numbers), allowing you to practice
your skills.
We are happy
to add additional courses into our programme for groups, also according
to availability and numbers
Course
Content
Note: if you do not understand
any, or all, of the terms below, don't worry. It just means that
at the end of the course you will be able read a map, with the aid
of a compass, navigate with it and find your way if lost. Come and
join us for the weekend and leave with the skill you want.
