Walking Break on the North Norfolk Coast

Walking Break on the North Norfolk Coast

Walkers and Nordic Walkers welcome!
Saturday 9th October 2010 - Thursday 14th October 2010 – 5 nights
With Optional FREE Sixth Night Including Dinner & Breakfast

Join us at Wells Next the Sea on the North Norfolk Coast, for a five night break, in this wonderful area of outstanding natural beauty. We will be staying in a lovely house right on the water’s edge in Wells, with sea views from the lounge.

For those whose partners or friends may like to come, but do not walk, there is much to see and do. The area is famous for its birdlife. There are the seals on Blakney Point, The Wells & Walsingham Railway, Holkham Hall, and its wonderful Deer Park, and, nearby, is Burnham Market, of Nelson fame, where you can while away many an hour! What about Salthouse! Here, what looks like a little shed, will serve you a huge platter of Lobster, Crab, Prawns, Mackerel, and goodness knows what else … but take your own wine if you like a tipple at lunch time.

The break will include:

  •    Bed & Breakfast for five nights
  •    Three evening meals taken together at the house
  •    Four days of walking on the coastal paths
  •    Tea and Home made cake each day

Remember to bring your own wine, beer, soft drinks.

There are two evenings free (Monday and Tuesday) for you to go out and explore the many pubs and restaurants in Wells. There is also be one free day, Tuesday, for you to explore the area.

The Coastal Hopper bus service will take us to the start of our walk and home again. For those who get tired, you can always drop off the route earlier and catch the Hopper back, or on to another place. This superb, award winning service, allows you the flexibility to do your own thing, whilst being part of a group. Bus rides are not included in the price, but if you have a concessionary bus pass you can use it on the Hopper.

The terrain is easy, and for those who have not been before, very beautiful.

We walk through pine scented forests, gaze over miles of golden sandy beaches, tramp the easy wide paths overlooking salt marshes towards the sea, and all in the safe knowledge that the Hopper is not far away.

Please take out your own holiday insurance, as we can not be held responsible either for your own injuries, or third party damage. Also, you will be liable for any damage you may cause in the house whilst you are there.
